Tell us about your family.
I come from a family of 4 kids-I have three younger brothers and sisters. My oldest brother goes to Michigan State and the others are in high school. I'm also getting married to a beautiful girl named McLaine this summer. I'm super pumped!
How did you end up at New Life Church?
I came to U of M in 2006 and basically just searched online for churches in the area. I went to the New Life the first Sunday and I've been here ever since! I went to a welcome barbecue that first Sunday and met three people who are now on staff and are still my closest friends: Mikey, Nik, and Gentz. They really pursued me and helped me get plugged in at New Life.
Why are you still here?
I graduated in December of 09 and decided to go on staff here. I figured New Life played a huge role in changing my life for the better, so I might as well stick around to hopefully have as big an impact on other people.
What do you do here?
I worked in the worship ministry. I lead a band, help run auditions, and help identify and train young musicians and worship leaders. I also get to lead a small group of other worship leaders here as we try to get better at what we do and grow as children of God. I basically get to play some awesome music with awesome people and lead the church in worship of an awesome God.
