Tell us about your family.
Right now, my "family" is just me, my horse, and my cat. I'm passionate about adoption and would love God to add a little girl to the picture that way!
How did you end up at New Life Church?
After battling anorexia and depression in high school and having a friend tell me that I needed to trust these struggles to God, I actually came to college knowing that I needed Christ to be a part of my life. I checked out a bunch of Christian groups and churches, and after a while I realized that I had become part of New Life simply through the incredible relationships that I had formed.
Why are you still here?
When it came time to graduate, God made it clear that He wanted me to reach out to other students and help them in the ways that New Life had helped me. I've stuck around because I love devoting my life to helping students find hope and healing in Christ, then helping them learn to live for the passions that are on God's heart.
What do you do here?
I disciple and coach the young women who lead small groups in the South Side New Life Team and join them in their efforts to reach out to their friends with the message of the Gospel. I'm passionate about our church partnerships in Kenya and love helping our congregation connect with how God's working and using us there. I also help with the church finances and a bit with building project administrative tasks.
