Mission Trip to San Salvador

May 28th - June 5th, 2011

New Life will be sending short term missionaries to San Salvador, El Salvador again this year. Do you want to be one of them? Anyone is welcome to apply - students, staff, and community members.

Who?

New Life Church has chosen Great Commission Latin America as their partner organization and has partnered with 2 sister churches in El Salvador. One team is heading to La Libertad on Spring Break and the 2nd team will be going to San Salvador at the end of May.

The partnerships with these churches are critical to our church's vision for international missions and we are excited to continue to develop these relationships.

Where?

San Salvador is a major city in El Salvador. We have been sending groups to our sister church (Iglesia Gran Comisión –San Salvador) for the last 10 years. The church is filled with wonderful, loving people who are friendly and also love to serve God. Their church service is much like New Life, very rockin', just in Spanish!

What?

As missionaries from New Life, our purpose is to take one week to support the local church as best we can in their continuing efforts for the Kingdom. We will be spending time working with outreach on a college campus, working with our sister church, working in a poor community the church works in, and spending time in an orphanage.

FAQ

• Worried about cost? We will help you with support raising!
• Never shared the Gospel before? That's totally fine! We will pair you with an experienced person and help you learn!
• Don't know Spanish? That's ok; we will have local translators with us the whole time!
• Do I need a passport? Yes, get a passport ASAP. This process can take from 3 to 6 weeks.

COST

[~ $ 1700] Includes airfare, hotel, transportation in El Salvador, food and emergency medical and evacuation insurance during the trip.

Important Dates

• April 1st deadline for GCLA online applications and first payment to purchase airline tickets ($950)
• May 8th deadline for remaining balance to cover rest of trip expenses ($ 750)

Training and Team Meetings

We will have a number of meetings to cover the following topics to prepare us for this trip: Support raising (you will be able to raise funds for this trip through GCLA), customs and culture, evangelism, dinner and prayer time, and trip schedule and final logistics.
