Tell us about your family.
I am the proud Deroo daughter of Mary and Charlie, and sister to Amy.
How did you end up at New Life Church?
A dear friend of mine from high school told me that New Life was a church "unlike anything he had ever seen", so I checked it out and experienced grace in such a powerful way through people who would become my best friends that I never left.
Why are you still here?
I want to change the world by who I am, not by what I do. New Life Church is the only place that I have ever seen or been a part of in which the change and impact that people make is by who they are as believers in Christ, not what they do- thats the kind of change that I want my life to be about.
What do you do here?
I am the events and conference coordinator, so I get to set the stage for students to encounter Christ in an authentic way, and for people to see the life-change that happens every day at New Life.
I also lead One%Matters, the social justice ministry here at New Life Church. I get to work with inspiring students that desire to see the church be the hands and feet for the poor, oppressed and forgotten.
